The Grand Palace, Chinatown and The Reclining Buddha (and cat)

Back to Bangkok

The market pictured is called Chatuchack, and is made up of about 15,000 stalls all crammed together like an overheated rabbit warren. You can buy pretty much anything you can think of there, from snakes to ceramics. And there was this Thai footballer 'busking' too. And a Thai cowboy playing the spoons. Naturally.

On the water...

These from our day out snorkelling at the Similan Islands. Not the best, admittedly, but we had an underwater disposable camera, so hopefully that will reveal some gems once it's developed. The sunset was pretty impressive tho, and there was an amazing electrical storm as we headed back to Khao Lak. Managed to get some on film too! (p.s. the huge yacht wasn't ours, but a vast floating hotel that tours the islands. Stupidly, I forgot to get a snap of our boat, but found one on the web. Imagine those buff individuals in the foreground are me and George!)
